Sunday Morning Bible Study

Sunday morning Bible Study at 9:15 am in the Library of Hutchinson Hall.
Participants follow the lectionary readings for Sunday worship and preaching.
Meet in the Library for study and discussion.
Lead by Rev. David Hutchinson
The following are the preaching texts for the next few months. We're reading through the Sermon on the Mount. Which detours just a bit from the lectionary.

Feb. 5 Matthew 5:1-12

Feb. 12 Matthew 5:13-21

Feb. 19 Matthew 5:21-26

Feb. 26 Matthew 17:1-9 (Transfiguration Sunday)

March 5 Matthew 5:38-48

March 12 Matthew 6:1-18

March 19 Matthew 6:19-34

March 26 Matthew 7:13-29

You might try reading straight through Matthew chapters 5-7 some time. That would get you in touch with the whole scope of the sermon.

(Feb. 26 diverts from the Sermon for Transfiguration, so you can skip it if you read through all the texts in order)

All are welcome, the only material you need is a Bible and an open mind.

Evening Study Series

Monday Evenings 6-8

Each chapter is based on the prayer of an Old Testament figure, such as Moses, Hannah, Jonah, Daniel, etc…

We will review the intro again on January 30 for those who missed the first class.
