The Mission Study Leadership Team (MSLT) is made up of Gina Harrington, Bill Eagle,
Doris Perry, Becky Frazier, Linda Liefeld, Sharon Fraser, Nancy Moebs and myself. We are
meeting weekly to pray and plan the mission study for the congregation. The Team will be
commissioned in worship on June 26th. Our first big event planned for the congregation will be
on Sunday July 17th at 10:30. Please come!! The focus will be on the History of Plymouth
Presbyterian Church. We will have lunch (thanks to the Membership/Outreach/Fellowship
Commission!), an interactive timeline, a historical tour of the church, and a space for you to walk
a labyrinth and reflect on a few questions and learn from a special speaker MaryJean Rivera.
This should be a very meaningful event.
My role as Interim is to walk with you through this time of transition and to help you
articulate what is important to Plymouth. Who are you as a congregation? What difference have
you made in the life of each member and friend and in the surrounding community? Times of
transition can feel awkward and uncomfortable but also exciting and hopeful. God has been with
Plymouth from its inception, and God is still very much with Plymouth. Where do you feel God at
work in the congregation? Are there places in the community that need the loving outreach and
mission from us? Please ponder these questions and others that arise. This is the time to
wonder and dream and use your imagination and your memory.
